ELIZABETH B. PETERSEN (B.A., University of California at Berkeley; J.D., Tulane University School of Law, Certificate of Environmental Law) is a member at Kanner & Whiteley, L.L.C. Mrs. Petersen joined the firm in 1996 and practices in the areas of environmental law, civil litigation, commercial litigation, consumer fraud, and class action litigation. Prior to joining Kanner & Whiteley, L.L.C., she was a student attorney at the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic. She later practiced in the areas of civil and maritime litigation. Mrs. Petersen is admitted to practice before Louisiana State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She has also been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Missouri, the District of Puerto Rico, the Southern District of Texas, the Northern District of Illinois, the Superior Court of New Jersey and before the Circuit Court of Escambia County, Florida. Mrs. Petersen has been involved with a number of significant cases over the years.
