RICO and Antitrust

Kanner & Whiteley, L.L.C. has been called upon to successfully prosecute and/or resolve several RICO and Antitrust Cases in the United States and Puerto Rico involving a variety of issues, resulting in multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements.

• Belle of Orleans, L.L.C. v. Capital Gaming International, Inc., et al.,No. 94-1837 (E.D. LA 1994)(Antitrust and Civil Rights action with regard to competition within the Louisiana gaming industry.)
  
• Bonilla, et al., v. Trebol Motors Corporation, et al., No. 92-1795 (JP) (D.P.R.) (RICO class certified and case tried to verdict of $129,500,000; RICO verdict affirmed as to Trebol Motors Defendants, all claims settled after appeal.)
  
• Ramallo Bros. Printing, Inc. v. El Dia, Inc., et al., No. 02-2400 (RLA) (D.P.R.) (Action for treble damages resulting from violations of antitrust laws and for injunctive relief regarding the printing and distribution via newspaper of commercial inserts.)
