Maria Gutierrez
Maria Gutierrez is the firm’s controller and has been with Kanner & Whiteley since 2000. In her accounting role, she oversees the daily accounting operations of the firm, from financial reporting and budgeting to maintaining the accounting records, including general ledger, payroll and taxes. She works closely with the managing attorney in managing budgets and human resources. Prior to joining Kanner & Whiteley, Maria worked in the financial sector for several financial software companies.
Maria earned her BBA with concentration in Accounting and Management, Summa Cum Laude, in May 1980 from Loyola University, New Orleans.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with family.
