The Court has preliminarily approved the proposed class action settlement in Pineda vs. Lake Consumer Products, Inc. (24-cv-1074) filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Kanner & Whiteley’s Conlee Whiteley has been appointed as co-lead class counsel. The settlement provides an important path toward fair compensation for individuals affected by various shampoo products alleged to be manufactured without conformance to current Good Manufacturing Practices resulting in unacceptable levels of benzene within the products.
Class notice will be disseminated shortly, and a fairness hearing has been scheduled for August 24, 2026.
