Allan Kanner and Caitrin Reilly’s article, Like a Phoenix Rising from the Ashes: Melding Wildfire law into a Comprehensive Statute, 33 J. Envtl. L. & Litg. 47 (2018), was published this month with the Oregon Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation. It addresses the current state of wildfire law and proposes a comprehensive statute akin to the Oil Pollution Act to better handle the natural resource damages stemming from large wildfires that have recently ravaged the country.
